Bar and Bat Mitzvah mark an important stage of growing up that deserves special attention and support.
This project is designed for teenagers around 12–14 years old who, for various reasons, did not receive full preparation for a Bar or Bat Mitzvah and did not have the opportunity to celebrate this milestone.
During regular meetings, participants will explore what coming of age means in Jewish tradition and discuss responsibility, independent decision-making, family, community, mitzvot, and personal values. They will be able to ask questions, talk about real-life situations, and reflect on the kind of person they would like to become.
Boys and girls will study together in one group, going through this important stage side by side and supporting one another.
🎉 The program will conclude with a special celebratory day — such as a trip to Jerusalem, a visit to a meaningful site, an excursion, or another memorable event created especially for the participants.
The main goal of the project is to help every teenager feel the significance of this stage, strengthen their connection to Jewish tradition, and experience the support of the community during an important moment of growing up.
Classes are held once a week, in Russian, in the city of Nahariya
